Whether you know all about Halkidiki or not, it is an essential part for everyone that is visiting Greece during the summer. From the golden, green, and blue cinematic beaches, to some of the oldest most historic monasteries in the world. There is no one who should not visit Halkidiki.
Villa Elena is conveniently located at about an hour’s worth of drive away. Meaning that not only do you escape the hassle that comes with one of the most touristic places in Greece, but you maintain the freedom of choosing when and where to go.
Beaches:
Whether you are after luxury or plain adventure, it is unlikely that you will not find the perfect fit for you. Halkidiki has a wide variety of beaches, destinations, and layouts. Luxurious private beaches only accessible by hotels, like the one and only Porto Carras, is the go-to for those looking for the complete outing. Such excursions will keep you entertained for the most part of the day. If you are after a one-fits-all, restaurants, beaches, bars, and casinos, Porto Carras is the place.

A popular option for those visiting Halkidiki is to combine a morning trip to the beach that is followed by a visit to the local tavern. Of course, that will take a little planning but do not worry, we have this covered at the bottom of the page!
First things first, pick your location. Halkidiki is divided into convenient locations where each one comes with its own history. Depending on what you are after the most, beach or location overall(bars, restaurants, shops), you can determine the region you are after. Now is the time to determine the secondary part of your visit. Religion:
Religion has always been a big part of different cultures and Greece is no different. Among other things, something that Halkidiki is worldwide famous for is its rich history of religion. Halkidiki also offers a wide range of possible sites regarding its religious history.
